An Irish lawyer has denounced fake TikTok accounts set up in his name and spreading inaccurate information.
Dublin-based lawyer Richard Grogan denounced scammers who appeared to be him on TikTok and warned the information they released was “very questionable insurance policies and products”.
The lawyer said: “Now, fake accounts are running rampant. And we have a new account now @ richardgrogansolicitor1.
“If you see any of these accounts, always go in there and see if there are a few videos.
“And if you didn’t watch the video I learned about that fact, you can assume these are some lowly people who decided to set up their own accounts to try to deceive people.”
The famous lawyer has over 115k followers on TikTok and gives advice to his followers on employment and personal injury law.
He continued: “By the way, some of the individuals who are setting up these fake accounts are also trying to spread very suspicious insurance policies and products or get information about your account.
“Now, I don’t do that.”

With over 30 years of experience, the Irish lawyer has posted videos with legal advice on various pay related topics such as raises, bonuses and holiday pay.
He recently shared a “thank you” video to all of his followers for their interest and concerns, with some of his videos garnering over 658k views.
The famous TikToker tries to answer all the questions he gets but admits it’s impossible to answer them all.
The lawyer shared some important information during the pandemic to employees who tested positive for antigens.
Employment and employment attorneys have a strong following with nearly 80,000 followers on Instagram and mainly post video content.
There are seven TikTok Phishing accounts have been created in his name and some include his photo.
With his own catchphrase and the hashtag # “It’s the law and it’s the truth”, the original TikTok account is easy to find among cheat things.
Ranked as one of the top Employment Attorneys in the country, he warns: “To all the people out there trying to scam me by using my photo and pretending to be me, representative. Kind of, I have news for you.
“It is indeed an offense and I must report it to An Garda Siochana. ”
