With the FIFA 23 release date fast approaching, fans are excited to see how their favorite players will rank.
EA Sports didn’t just adjust player ratings based on their performance over the past season.
Transfers mean players will perform differently depending on their new teams.
The top ten players have changed from FIFA 22, and five Premier League teams dominate the top spots.
Find out if your favorite player or team is in the FIFA 23 top ten.
10. Erling Braut Haaland – 88 – Manchester City
Manchester City are fortunate to have a number of 88 players on their side.
While Rúben Dias, Bernardo Silva and João Cancelo are also all in 88th place, we picked Haaland for his dominating start to the season.
He has scored nine goals in his first five games for City, including a hat-trick against Nottingham Forest that resulted in a 6-0 win.
Haaland has been a great buy from Man City and it seems he fits in well with his new side.
9. Alisson – 89 – Liverpool
Alisson has dominated scoring lately, most notably in Liverpool’s 9-0 win over Brighton.
He is also a veteran Liverpool man, having been part of the team since 2018.
Alisson has an 89 rating, which is in line with his FIFA 22 rating, but Liverpool conceded two goals against Man Utd in the last game and have fallen down the tables.
Still a strong pick for FUT and one of the best goalkeepers the game has to offer.
8. Ederson – 89 – Manchester City
Haaland’s goalscoring abilities aren’t the only reason behind Man City’s success so far this season.
They haven’t lost a single one of their first six games and that’s thanks to Ederson’s impeccable possession.
Maintaining his high rank from FIFA 23, he has been with City for five seasons and has made 188 league appearances for the team so far.
Certainly a player to look out for when building your FUT.
8. Son Heung-min – 89 – Tottenham Hotspur
Son is another player who has found success with his team since joining seven years ago.
He remains in form as amazing as last year and forms a fearsome duo with fellow goalscorer Harry Kane.
He may not have scored a goal this season but has provided a number of assists that have given Tottenham the advantage.
A real team player and an important part of Spurs’ attacking half.
6. N’Golo Kante – 89 – Chelsea
In midfield, N’Golo Kanté is practically unbeatable.
Another player who feels comfortable with his club has been part of Chelsea since 2016.
He’s dropped a point this season, which keeps him from taking a top spot due to a series of injuries he sustained last year.
Hopefully he’s weathered the worst and returns to his dominant position this year.
5. Harry Kane – 89 – Tottenham Hotspur
Harry Kane, the best English player in the Premier League this season and one of the top scorers in the world, remains strong this season.
He has already scored five Premier League goals this season and remains dominant in the game with the help of teammate Son.
Not only is Kane the third-best goalscorer of all time in the Premier League, but he has also been England’s captain for four years.
A tough man to beat, especially when paired with another great assist player.
4. Cristiano Ronaldo – 90 – Manchester United
Fans were devastated to see Ronaldo drop a point from his dominant position in FIFA 22, although that’s probably down to his age.
At 37, he is the oldest player in the top ten but remains among the best players in the Premier League.
He only joined Man Utd last year and has been a strong buy for the team, which is limited in their senior players.
Fourth is still a strong position for the Portuguese that shouldn’t be overlooked.
3. Mohamed Salah – 90 – Liverpool
With 120 goals in 186 league games for Liverpool, it’s easy to see why Salah is so highly rated in the Premier League.
Salah may be down a point from last season but remains one of Liverpool’s strongest players.
He has twice been voted one of the top three FIFA players. The only other player for an English club to break the top 3 is team-mate van Dijk.
While many scorers feature in the top ten, Salah is simply the best.
2. Virgil van Dijk – 90 – Liverpool
Maintaining his impressive 90 rating from last year, Virgil van Dijk is one of the best players not only in Liverpool but in the Premier League.
He is one of the world’s best defenders and one of the few to ever make the FIFA World Ranking.
Liverpool paid a whopping £75million for van Dijk in 2018, a record for a defender at the time.
He was definitely worth the money as he keeps Liverpool in a strong position in the Premier League.
1.Kevin De Bruyne – 91 – Manchester City
As the only player with a 91 rating in FIFA 23’s Premier League, none other than Kevin De Bruyne could take first place.
Often referred to as the ‘consummate footballer’, De Bruyne is not only one of the best in the Premier League but in the world.
He also plays well with his weaker foot and has already scored four goals in the first 24 minutes of a Premier League game this season.
De Bruyne is really the one to look out for when opening your FUT packs.
