Top ten players in the WORLD ranked by FIFA 23

FIFA season is here and in just a few weeks we will all be able to play the latest game, FIFA 23.

With release day approaching, fans prepare by checking ratings and voting for their player of the month.

While the Premier League ratings were available early on, we now have a full list of the top 10 players in the world as ranked by FIFA 23.

That keeps the game for the best footballers in the world.

10. Cristiano Ronaldo – 90 – Manchester United

As number four in the Premier League, a drop of one point for Cristiano Ronaldo means he is just within the world top ten.

However, this change was expected. At 37, Ronaldo is the oldest player in the top ten.

When he joined Man Utd last year he was still a strong force for the team and remains their top player.

Despite the change, 90 is still a solid score and a good choice for any FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT).

9. Manuel Neuer – 90 – Bayern Munich

As a German national goalkeeper, Manuel Neuer is considered one of the best in the world.

He brought back the “sweeper keeper” style of play, using his speed to control the ball before strikers get a chance to score.

Not only was Neuer voted goalkeeper of the year, he was voted goalkeeper of the last decade and he’s still going strong to this day.

It’s well deserved. At the 2010 World Cup, he conceded just one goal throughout the tournament.

8. Mohamed Salah – 90 – Liverpool

Mohamed Salah had another exceptionally strong season at Liverpool.

While he is one point down from his live ratings, he is one point higher than his rating since the beginning of FIFA 22.

Goal scorers have a high priority in FIFA. With Salah having scored 120 goals in 186 Premier League games, his rating is definitely deserved.

He has twice been ranked as one of the top three FIFA players and deserves this award.

7. Thibaut Courtois – 90 – Real Madrid

Thibaut Courtois improved his rating by a point in the last year and has finally landed in the top ten in the world.

He is the youngest goalkeeper of his national team Belgium and was awarded the Golden Glove at the last World Cup.

Courtois, who joined Real Madrid from Chelsea in 2018, has two Premier League titles and four La Liga titles under his belt.

It’s a battle between him and Neuer, but you’ll surely want one in your FUT.

6. Virgil van Dijk – 90 – Liverpool

Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk broke the record for the most expensive defender transfer ever when he joined the club.

Up a point this year alone, it seems worth the steep price tag.

In a team of highly rated players, van Dijk is the best. He was also rated as the second best player in FIFA – the highest for an English club.

The best defender on the list and one to keep an eye on when opening FUT packs.

5.Robert Lewandowski – 90 – Barcelona

Despite dropping a point last year, Robert Lewandowski is one of Bayern Munich’s all-time greats.

The forward joined Barcelona this season and has already proven himself for the club.

During his time at Bayern, he won the Bundesliga title in each of the eight seasons he was there.

He also finished second in the Ballon d’Or last year, just 33 points behind…

4.Lionel Messi – 91 – Paris Saint Germain

Another aging player, former FIFA cover star Lionel Messi, has lost two points this year.

He joined PSG from Barcelona last year and is still one of the best players in the world despite the drop in the odds.

He has won a record seven Ballon d’Ors, with his last being awarded just last year.

A list of achievements too long to list here, he is widely regarded as one of the greatest of all time.

3.Kevin De Bruyne – 91 – Manchester City

Kevin De Bruyne, the highest rated player in the Premier League, still positions himself firmly at the top compared to the world stage.

De Bruyne is often referred to as a ‘complete footballer’, but few other players command the pitch like De Bruyne.

One of his many skills is his strong playstyle, even when using his weaker foot, making him a valuable player.

He has already scored a whopping four goals in the first 24 minutes of a game against Wolves this season.

2. Karim Benzema – 91 – Real Madrid

Longtime Real Madrid member Karim Benzema has earned two points towards his FIFA 22 starting score.

One of the top scorers in the world, Benzema is one of the best players at Real Madrid and helped them win the Champions League last year.

This win was by no means a first for Benzema as it was his fifth Champions League win.

Despite his five-year ban from France national team, he remains one of the world’s best forwards.

1. Kylian Mbappe – 91 – Paris Saint-Germain

As a FIFA cover star for the third year in a row, it’s no surprise that FIFA 23 ranks Kylian Mbappé as the best player in the world.

He was voted Ligue 1 Player of the Year for three years and was the league’s top scorer for four seasons.

He helped France defeat Croatia 4-2 at the last World Cup and is the second teenager after Pélé to score in a final.

At 23, he’s one of the youngest players on the list and we can only see things getting better for the superstar.
