TOTTENHAM is lining up an improved £20m bid for Wolves’ widow Adama Traore.
North Londoners have turned down a £15m offer for the 25-year-old Spaniard.
Wolves are determined to keep the star, who has 18 months left on his contract to run.
But Spurs remain determined to take down the man who has become their No. 1 target this month.
Initially, Wolves wanted £40m for the former Barcelona rookie, but are now said to be willing to pay £30m.
Tottenham hope to complete a £20m deal with add-ons up to £5m.
New Spurs manager Antonio Conte reserved a spot at right-back for Traore, who had a goal ruled out by VAR after coming off the bench in the second half of their 2-1 win. Wolves against Brentford on Saturday.
Wanderers boss Bruno Lage said afterwards: “I am very happy with him and I think he is very happy with us.
“He played 25 minutes and gave us a lot of energy.
“He scored a goal and that was disallowed, but you saw how he celebrated.
“He came to me and we shared a hug between us. I am very happy with him. “
SunSport exclusively revealed last week how Spurs are set to spend up to £50m in January signed Traore and Sevilla centre-back Diego Carlos.
After the club’s 0-2 loss to Chelsea on Sunday, Sky Sports pundit Roy Keane questions which top players want to join Tottenham.
And his colleague Jamie Redknapp sensationalized that Conte may quit in the near future if he doesn’t support this window.
Redknapp said: “He needs to attract players quickly – two, three, four players in the window and he has nine days to do it.

“Daniel Levy is a difficult man to deal with, but if you don’t turn around [Conte] – look at his history at Inter Milan – I think he’s leaving the club because you can’t promise and don’t deliver.
“Tottenham fans must be frustrated because every year they watch their team and everything is great with the stadium and training ground – but the team needs a little help right now.
“Then give him back, give him what he needs.”
