Antonio Conte blasted his Tottenham Hotspur bosses this week over the club’s game build-up.
Spurs take on north London rivals Arsenal on Thursday for a place in the top four of the Premier League and qualification for next season’s Champions League. But with so much to play, Spurs have a quick turnaround after Thursday’s derby when they take on Burnley at 12pm on Sunday.
And the Tottenham manager said the club’s hierarchy should “pay more attention” to their game plan and that a “top club” would not have accepted a lunchtime kick-off. It comes as the Spurs boss has admitted he backed away from the “unfair” decision to postpone the game with Arsenal in January.
And Conte will target three Everton players in the summer transfer window.

shift “unfair”
Antonio Conte says the decision to postpone the north London derby in January was “unfair”.
The two sides were originally set to meet on January 16 but the match was postponed at the request of Mikel Arteta’s side after his squad was hit by Covid, injuries and players participating in the Africa Cup of Nations. It was later revealed the Gunners only had one squad member with Covid, leading to a rule change in the Premier League when it comes to postponements due to the virus.
And ahead of Thursday night’s game, the Spurs boss said the decision was “very strange” but insists he has put the incident behind him.

Spurs hierarchy slammed
Antonio Conte wants his Spurs bosses “to pay more attention” after accepting a 12pm kick-off against Burnley on Sunday.
The game follows Tottenham’s north London derby hot on its heels on Thursday night, with Conte saying the decision to schedule them so closely together was “difficult to accept”. And he has urged his bosses “to take care of all the details, because the details drive the bottom line.”
And he also targets a small dig at the Spurs hierarchy by suggesting a ‘top club’ would not have accepted the game’s timing.

Everton trio in sight
Tottenham could reportedly try to sign Everton trio Richarlison, Anthony Gordon and Ben Godfrey this summer.
Threatened with relegation from the Premier League, the Toffees are currently in 16th place, just two points behind Leeds United in 18th place. After impressing after Everton’s mini-revival in recent weeks, Antonio Conte’s side could target the three players – even if they avoid relegation this season.
