Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has stressed his commitment to the club after suggesting he could leave just months after becoming their manager.
Conte joined the club in November following Nuno Espirito Santo’s brief stint at the helm after initially being linked with the job last summer.
But things have taken a turn for the worse in recent weeks after Conte gave a controversial interview to the Italian media, where he claimed his squad had become “weaker” during the January transfer window. .
And Conte has now held tough talks with Daniel Levy after threatening to leave the club following defeat to Burnley at Turf Moor on Wednesday.
And the club has been encouraged to contemplate life without star and captain Harry Kane.

Antonio Conte’s incredible form following Wednesday’s defeat to Burnley has prompted intense negotiations with owner Daniel Levy.
Ben Mee led Burnley to victory as Sean Dyche’s side won in a row for the first time in 13 months with a 1-0 win over Tottenham.
But the defeat made Conte lose his composure when he declared “it is unacceptable to continue to lose”.

Antonio Conte appears to have turned the tables after suggesting he could leave Spurs just months after taking charge of the club.
After the defeat to Burnley, Conte stated: “I am too honest to accept this situation, and for sure we will make an assessment with the club, because I repeat, it is not right, it is not right. yes, it’s not good for people to keep losing and I can’t accept this.
“It’s not good for anyone.”
But the Italian has now poured cold water on the idea he could leave soon after joining the club.
