Neville digs Spurs delicately
Gary Neville has said that Manchester United’s loss to Atletico Madrid proved he was right after the Reds beat Tottenham 3-2 at the weekend.
Spurs failed at Old Trafford when Cristiano Ronaldo scored a stunning hat-trick, but Neville refused to do so after the result. And Neville says his assessment is justified after United’s 0-1 defeat to Atletico Madrid, as he put it: “Any decent, organized and fighting team has the potential to beat this United team.”
Arsenal show shocking transfer interest
Tottenham Hotspur’s nasty rivals Arsenal could be set to make a swanky summer move for Steven Bergwijn, it’s been confirmed.
Bergwijn joined Spurs in January 2020 for £27 million from PSV Eindhoven but has scored just six goals and five assists in 51 Premier League appearances. That has led to reports linking the winger with a one-week summer move from Spurs, with Serie A giants AC Milan, one of the teams rumored to also be monitoring his situation.
But nasty rivals Arsenal could also make a shock offer for the Dutch winger – with reports claiming he could be available for as little as £15m.
Kane broke the record
Harry Kane has reacted to break Wayne Rooney’s Premier League record for away goals.
Cristian Romero gave Spurs the lead before half-time against Brighton, before Kane went into the record books just an hour before scoring his 95th away goal – more than any other player. The Spurs captain has also racked up an incredible record in far fewer games than Rooney, and he’s now talked about how it feels to hold the record for most away goals in the Premier League.
