Harry Kane has been a long-term target for Manchester United and the Red Devils are reportedly working on a package to make a move this summer.
Kane’s replacement, should he leave Spurs at the end of the season, could be a former one Chelsea Striker Tammy Abraham who is having a very impressive season under ex-Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho at Roma. However, the Serie A side are currently reluctant to part ways with a player they signed for £34million less than 12 months ago.
Middlesbrough defender Djed Spence is another player who could be on his way to north London and has given an update on his next potential team.
Here are Mirror football latest Tottenham Hotspur Headlines.
United’s Kane transfer package
Tottenham Hotspur have long fended off any teams interested in signing Harry Kane.
But that hasn’t stopped teams from trying to strike a deal with Spurs in the past, and it seems Manchester United prepare a package to take the England captain to Old Trafford. Kane has been a long-term target for United and the club are in need of a striker again, with reports suggesting they would send Anthony Martial the other way.
The full deal package, including the France striker, would cost over £100m.
Spurs eye Abraham
Although Tottenham Hotspur are reluctant to part ways with Talisman Kane in the summer, the club are reportedly considering a backup plan.
Former Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham doesn’t want to be let down when Kane leaves and is considered the perfect player to step in and lead the line should the unthinkable happen. Abraham has impressed since joining Italian club Roma last summer and could be tempted by a second chance First League in north London.
However, Roma are reportedly unwilling to sell a player they paid £34m for last summer and who has hit the back of the net 23 times this season.
Spence gives transfer update
Middlesbrough defender Djed Spence has caused quite a stir this season on loan to Nottingham Forrest.
The right-back has made a name for himself after playing very well against Premier League sides arsenal, leicester city and Liverpool by doing FA Cup. Those performances have drawn the attention of clubs in England’s top division to his talents and Tottenham are just one of a number of sides interested in bringing the England Under-21 defender to their club in the summer.
The defender made his U-21 debut and afterwards spoke about where he could go at the end of the season.
