Tottenham Hotspur have received a stern message from Spain U2 manager Luis De la Fuente about Bryan Gil’s future.
Gil struggled to impress in north London upon his arrival from Seville for a whopping £21.6million last summer and was loaned out to Spanish club Valencia in January. And the move seems to have worked out for him judging by the comments of his Under-21 coach.

Keane’s response to Obama’s claim
Robbie Keane was taken by surprise when he learned in 2012 that he might be related to former US President Barack Obama.
The shock claim was made as Keane and his LA Galaxy teammates visited the White House after winning MLS. At the time, Obama said, “Congratulations to the LA Galaxy on their third MLS Cup. Together they represent one of the most talented lineups MLS has ever seen.
“They have Robbie Keane, Ireland’s all-time top scorer, a cousin of mine.” In fact, Keane was so stunned by the claim that he didn’t respond until years later during an episode of Goals on Sunday – and his response was typically hilarious.
Inside story of Dybala’s U-turn
Spurs are believed to be among the clubs hoping to sign Juventus striker Paulo Dybala when his contract with the Italian giants expires this summer.
The north London club were of course close to sealing the Argentine’s signature before, having previously agreed a £64.4million deal before disagreements over Dybala’s image rights halted discussions. However, they could return this summer to try and bring in the striker after a similar reversal saw the striker make the decision to leave Juve this summer.
Spurs sent Gil a message
Spain Under-21 coach Luis De la Fuente has sent Spurs a message about Bryan Gil’s forgotten signing – and it should get it Tottenham fans very excited.
The young Spanish winger arrived at the club last summer as an interesting prospect but has struggled to adjust to the club’s rigors First League. But after being loaned out to Valencia in January, the youngster seems to have rediscovered his spark and has now been called up to the Spain Under-21 team.
And his manager for the next few weeks, De la Fuente, believes Gil has a lot more to offer, which he says has “not yet reached his ceiling”.
