West Ham defender Kurt Zouma’s own goal on Sunday was the tenth Tottenham’s opponents have scored this season.
ix of them in the Premier League, the most since Swansea benefited from eight opponents’ own goals in 2013/14, three more in Europe and one in the FA Cup.
Here, the PA news agency looks at Spurs’ 10 moments of happiness this season.
Tottenham 3 Pacos Ferreira 0, Europa Conference League, 26 August
Harry Kane’s double put Spurs ahead in the playoffs after losing the first leg 1-0. Spurs’ progress was sealed when veteran defender Antunes added the crucial finishing touch from a Giovani Lo Celso free-kick.
2. Loïc Bade
Rennes 2 Tottenham 2, Europa Conference League, 16 September
Spurs were given a helping hand in their Group G clash when centre-back Bade turned a Lucas Moura cross past his own keeper. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side fell behind with goals from Flavien Tait and Gaetan Laborde before Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg gave them a point.
3. Matt Targett
Tottenham 2 Aston Villa 1, Premier League, 3 Oct
Just four minutes after Ollie Watkins crossed to equalize Hojbjerg’s opener, full-back Targett was the unlucky man to smash a Son Heung-min cross past Emi Martinez into Spurs’ winner.
4. Jacob Rasmussen
Tottenham 3 Vitesse 2, Europa Conference League, 4 Nov
Spurs took a three-goal lead within half an hour when Rasmussen’s error added to Son and Moura’s goals. The Dane reacted quickly at the right end and Matu Bero scored a second for the Dutch side, but Spurs were stuck in a three-red card game.
5. Sergi Kanos
Tottenham 2 Brentford 0, Premier League, December 2nd
Pontus Jansson headed in Son’s cross against teammate Canos before the Korean completed the win.
6 Solly March
Tottenham 3 Brighton 1, FA Cup, 5th February
January was the first month without an own goal in Spurs’ favor this season, but it took just 24 minutes in February for Seagulls midfielder March to end the wait. Kane scored the other two Spurs goals.
7. Jan Bednarek
Tottenham 2 Southampton 3, Premier League, 9 February
Four days later, Bednarek accidentally put Spurs ahead while Son waited to deflect Hojbjerg’s cross. Son restored the lead after Armando Broja’s equaliser, but Mohamed Elyounoussi and Che Adams secured a comeback win.
Tottenham 5 Everton 0, Premier League, March 7th
Ryan Sessegnon’s cross lured the Everton defender into his second own goal in three games at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before Son, Kane (twice) and Sergio Reguilon all clinched a comfortable win.
9. Harry Maguire
Manchester United 3 Tottenham 2, Premier League, March 12
One of just two goals scored outside of north London and one of just three own goals this season in a game Spurs didn’t win, United captain Maguire’s error contributed to Kane’s penalty before Cristiano Ronaldo at the other end took one hat trick scored.
10. Kurt Zouma
Tottenham 3 West Ham 1, Premier League, March 20th
Kane created a chance for Son in the ninth minute, only for Zouma to get the crucial touch and unwanted credit for the goal. Son scored twice, both from Kane assists and another Zouma deflection on his first.
