Tottenham star Tanguy Ndombele ‘is wanted on loan transfer by PSG for the rest of the season with midfielder keen to return to France’

PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN is said to be preparing to loan Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.

Ndombele has been linked with the move after booing on the pitch during the FA Cup win over Morecambe.

The 25-year-old was left out of the squad for Antonio Conte’s final two days of play, and is even training on his own, according to reports. The Athletic.

The report goes on to claim former Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino wants to reunite with Ndombele, after signing him from Lyon in 2019 for a club record £63m.

And Ndombele himself is said to be eager for his return trip to France, where he made a name for himself before moving to England.

But with another two and a half years to fulfill his contract, no club is willing to splurge on a player who fought for both form and fitness.

A loan is therefore the more likely scenario, with Spurs looking to knock him out in this window.

It is reported that PSG have previously tried to sign Ndombele back in 2020 and are ‘interested’ in another move for their long-term goals.

Pochettino is in need of reinforcements in midfield, while Georginio Wijnaldum has been unimpressive since joining Liverpool in the summer.

The Dutchman has been linked with a loan deal, which would free up space for Ndombele to be brought to PSG to replace him.

With a Champions League draw close to the Champions League giants, Pochettino wants every help he can get in his bid to challenge for the title that has been overlooked by Les Parisiens so far.

Spurs are also trying to garner interest for their outcast elsewhere, perhaps heard Juventus as a possible destination for a loan move.

The club are desperate to get his massive £200,000-a-week salary off the books this month.

Ndombele used to be affiliated with Barcelona, but there hasn’t been any interest in him so far in January.

The old man of Lyon has also been connected to a reunion with Jose Mourinho in Rome.

But it is PSG who are leading the way for his signature.
