The Irish Armed Forces today warned of possible traffic delays in four counties due to a “large military convoy”.
The Defense Forces said the “planned logistical” operation would be supported by the Garda Traffic Corps and the convoy would travel through Counties Waterford, Wexford, Carlow and Kildare.
“A large military convoy escorted by Gardaí will pass through Waterford, Wexford, Carlow and Kildare later today. This is a planned logistical convoy and the public is asked to be aware of potential traffic delays in these districts,” the Defense Forces said in a statement.
A Defense Forces spokesman said that as the logistical operation is underway, no further details could be shared at this time for “security reasons”.
