Traffic in Brighton city center has been blocked following a collision

Traffic was brought to a standstill along a downtown street after a bus collided with a car.

A car pulling onto St James’s Street in Brighton was struck by a bus traveling up the road around 10am this morning.

The windshield of the bus was broken in the accident.

The passengers had to exit the bus as traffic built up behind the collision.

A police car was sighted at the scene of the incident, with an officer seen speaking to a member of the public.

Sussex Police have been contacted for comment.
