Irish Rail has warned of long delays for rail commuters in Dart and Dublin after a vehicle ran into a level crossing in the south of the county.
For the second time in three days, a vehicle has struck the Serpentine Avenue level crossing near Sandymount.
Irish Rail said delays of at least 30 minutes are expected and staff are on their way to the incident.
“Due to a vehicle driving onto a serpentine level crossing. Delays of up to +30 minutes are expected through Sandymount/Lansdowne road stations in either direction. staff on the go. Update to follow,” said Irish Rail.
There has been a collision on the M50 on the southbound motorway at Junction 4 Ballymun. Motorists were advised to “drive carefully”.
Motorists have been warned of a spill on the northbound M2 motorway between Junction 2 St Margarets and Junction 3 Ashbourne.
Debris on the southbound M1 between Junction 4 Donabate and Junction 3 Swords has been cleared and all lanes have been reopened.
A previous collision on the southbound M50 at Junction 2 Santry has also now been cleared.
Met Éireann has warned there is a risk of “punctual flooding” and dangerous driving conditions”.
