A terrible train accident in Austria has killed one person and injured dozens.
The passenger train derailed in front of Vienna tonight, confirmed two Red Cross spokesmen.
The cause of the tragic incident near the town of Munchendorf, south of the Austrian capital, is not yet known as images of the overturned train have surfaced.
Three of the injuries were classified as serious and eleven as less serious.
The accident is said to have happened shortly after 6 p.m. local time on the Pottendorf line.
The uninjured occupants were taken to the Red Cross disaster relief center in Munich.
A large number of rescue workers had reportedly been deployed to the scene alongside the emergency response, which includes three rescue helicopters.
