Train delays after a lorry crashed onto the bridge in Billingshurst

Trains are delayed this morning after a truck crashed into a bridge.

The accident happened at around 9am this morning at Natts Lane, Billingshurst, near Horsham.

There was minor damage to the brickwork and slight delays to trains.

A Southern Rail spokeswoman said: “A lorry struck a bridge in Natts Lane, Billingshurst this morning.

“Network Rail was called on site to inspect the area and although slight damage to the brickwork was noted, trains have now been permitted to pass normally.

“There are delays of around 10 minutes in passenger journeys. If someone is delayed 15 minutes or more, they can request a late refund through our website.”
