Barcelona’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a wanted man

Chelsea are leading Manchester United in the race to land Frenkie de Jong and the Blues are ready and waiting to sign both the Dutch midfielder and his Barcelona team-mate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang should they leave Spain during this transfer window.

Chelsea have reached loose personal terms agreements for both players and are just waiting for Barcelona to give the green light to the sale, according to Sky Sports, while the Spanish outlet Sports Chelsea are also reportedly finalizing a deal with Barca for around £68m for De Jong. The times adds that de Jong would prefer Chelsea as a target to United and that Chelsea are also ready to make a last-ditch bid for Leicester’s wanting defender Wesley Fofana.

Meanwhile, Manchester United continue to pursue Cody Gakpo, the PSV midfielder, but he has hinted he would stay in the Netherlands should PSV progress through the Champions League qualifying stage – they play Rangers later in August. United have been closely linked with Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot but negotiations over the 27-year-old’s bold salary demands have stalled, according to reports Gazetta dello Sport.

Nottingham Forest are interested in Dennis

Nottingham Forest have made an opening bid for Watford forward Emmanuel Dennis.

The newly promoted Premier League club continue their summer spending as they hope to build a squad good enough to remain in the top flight.

the athlete Forest Watford have reportedly made an offer of around £20m (including premiums) for their 24-year-old forward and Forest appear to be the only club interested in the Nigerian at the moment.

Dennis was relegated with Watford last season but contributed 10 goals and six assists for the season and remains one of the team’s standout players.

He joined the Hornets from Club Brugge last summer and is under contract at Vicarage Road until 2026, making any deal for Forest a potentially expensive proposition.

Watford will be aiming to make it back into the top flight straight away and Dennis could be crucial to their success this season. It seems unlikely they’ll let him go for just £20million… but you never know.

Newcastle offer Ramos

Striker Goncalo Ramos has got off to a flying start this season with three goals and three assists in Benfica’s first three games.

He has attracted interest from a number of clubs including Paris Saint-Germain and Newcastle United who have prepared an offer for the 21-year-old.

Sky Sports’ Pedro Sepulveda reported the North East club would make an offer of around £25.5million to bring the striker to the Premier League.

Aarons to Manchester United?

Put this one in rumor mill territory, but there are rumors that Manchester United may be including Norwich City’s Max Aarons.

Aarons has attracted significant interest in previous transfer windows but is still active at Carrow Road, having progressed through the academy and cemented his place as a first-team starter.

The 22-year-old has made 168 appearances for Norwich and has been a key part of previous promotion campaigns while also impressing in his Premier League appearances.

Last month The sun reported that the Everton defender has been valued at £15million and these murmurs about United interest do not imply a new valuation.

If that proves true, expect Norwich to be pushing for a higher price given Manchester United’s financial firepower and the limited time the Canaries would have to find a replacement.

Everton “explore” striker options

Everton are studying the possibility of loaning Scotland striker Che Adams from Southampton.

According to The Athletic, Adams, 26, is on Frank Lampard’s target list as the Everton boss looks to fill the hole up front on the left from Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s injury and Richarlison’s departure to Tottenham.

Calvert-Lewin has been on the sidelines for a long time, leaving the Toffees with only Salomon Rondon as a target.

Anthony Gordon, 21, was tasked with leading the line for Everton’s first appearance of the new season against Chelsea last weekend, highlighting Lampard’s need for reinforcements in the attacking third.

AC Milan are considering Arsenal midfielder Lokonga

Football Italia claim AC Milan have started talks with Arsenal midfielder Sambi Lokonga, 22, to strengthen the team.

According to the report, he is more likely on loan than a permanent move and Milan are also considering Hellas Verona’s Adrien Tameze and Sassuolo’s Davide Frattesi.

Arsenal are ahead of Liverpool in the race to sign Yeremy Pino

Villarreal’s Yeremy Pino could soon be playing football in London.

Liverpool are interested in the 19-year-old but it’s Arsenal who have made the winger a £33million offer to take, Metro say, citing Spanish outlet AS.

The teenager would join summer recruits Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Fabio Vieira if he moved to the Emirates.

Millie Bright signs new three-year deal

Chelsea have tied Millie Bright to a new three-year deal.

Bright was one of the stars of England’s successful campaign to win Euro 2022 and the Blues vice-captain is now ready to continue her long relationship with the club.

Bright said: “Chelsea, the fans, the club, the people. Thank you for your support so far. You are my home and I can’t wait to keep fighting for more trophies. Cheers to the future!”

Villa sign England’s Rachel Daly on a three-year deal

Aston Villa have signed European champion and England international Rachel Daly to a three-year deal.

The versatile lioness featured in Sarina Wiegman’s Euro 2022-winning side at left-back but can also play up front as Villa manager Carla Ward intends to use her talents up front.

Harrogate-born Daly, 30, is returning to England after playing for Houston Dash in the American NWSL, with previous spells at Leeds, Lincoln Ladies and West Ham.

Ward said: “This is a big signing for us and one that we have worked hard to complete. Rachel is a top striker and a proven goalscorer.

“After an admirable performance as a full-back this summer, she has shown us that she is a player you just need in your team.”

RB Leipzig beat Manchester United to Benjamin Sesko transfer

RB Leipzig have confirmed the signing of Benjamin Sesko from Red Bull Salzburg in the latest high-profile deal between the sister clubs.

The 19-year-old Slovenia international will stay with the Austrian champions this season before starting a five-year deal with Leipzig next summer.

Manchester United were one of several clubs interested in Sesko but Leipzig won the race.

“Benjamin Sesko is one of the best young talents in Europe and has a lot of potential,” said Leipzig’s technical director, Christopher Vivell, in a club statement.

Sesko joins a prominent list of deals between the two clubs, both owned by drinks company Red Bull until 2017 when Uefa intervened over integrity concerns in the Champions League.
