Transport and travel: Dublin train and Luas services meet and disruption to traffic amid snow and ice warnings

There are currently no train services at the Howth branch while Luas services have also been affected by snow and ice warnings this morning.

There are also treacherous conditions and delays on roads and footpaths in the Dublin and Wicklow areas.

Dublin Bus will honor all valid rail tickets in the areas affected by the disruption.

The 0700 Howth to Bray flight and the 0735 Newbridge to Dublin Heuston flight have been cancelled.

The 07:26 service from Grand Canal Dock to Hazelhatch and the service from Hazelhatch to Grand Canal Dock at 08:17 are also cancelled.

Services between Belgard and Saggart are now operational again. The Services operate with delays due to adverse weather conditions.

Green Line services are operating with delays of up to 20 minutes and Red Line services are operating again with delays of up to 30 minutes. LUAS tickets are valid on Dublin Bus for the duration of the disruption.

Meanwhile there is a status yellow warning of low temperature/ice which could mean dangerous conditions on the roads this morning.

Riders face a sharp to severe frost with frigid surfaces as temperatures drop far to -4C and some frigid patches of fog. The warning is in effect until 12:00 p.m. today.

Those commuting the M50 are advised to be winterized and be aware of the low road temperatures.

A collision occurred on the M50 at 7.03am affecting the hard shoulder at Red Cow Junction.

Drivers should remain cautious as several traffic lights in the Coolock area are off due to an ESB failure.

Malahide Road, Tonlegee Road and Clonshaugh Road are affected.
