Travel viewers all share the same complaint as the BBC drama opens with TWO gruesome deaths

THE Tourist shock the audience with two brutal murders in the first minutes of the finale.

Some viewers of the BBC One horror series were shocked to see the gruesome scenes unfold so early in the fourth episode, which aired on Sunday night.

The story follows a British Man played by Jamie Dornan who finds himself being followed by a tank truck trying to push him out of the way.

He then wakes up injured in a hospital with no idea who he is.

The BBC described the show as “full of shocking twists, surprises, humor and brutality … set in a world filled with quirky characters, mysteries and deviant comedies”.

The fourth episode begins in a small village in Greece, where young, teenage Kostas is frequently annoyed by his dog.

Yelling at it to ‘shut up’, he eventually became frustrated and headed out into the yard, where the pet dog met a horrifying end.

Kostas’ father ran outside to find his son standing with a dead dog with a bloody knife in his hand.

But viewers barely have a second to recover from that horror show when the episode cuts cowboy hat cop Billy Nixon (played by Icelandic-American actor Ólafur Darri Ólafsson) trying to kill Luci.

Played by DC actress Chloë Bishop of Line of Duty Shalom Brune-Franklin, she fights off the killer when he tries to stab her and then strangles her with a hunting knife.

Finally she pushed him away and he fell back on his head on the jagged edge of a broken window.

Billy’s head dangled out the window as blood poured from his neck and walls.

The shocking scenes all held a little something for The Tourist viewers, with some complaining that there had been no warning of impending violence.

But the more observant fans who’ve seen the BBC’s warning know it’s a sign of terrible things to come.

“Did we get a warning there when starting #thetourist?” One Twitter user complained.

Another added: “A broadcaster said ‘nasty scenes from the start’ and the dog started barking, I know…. If Elliot doesn’t kill Kosta, I will!”

And a third wrote: “I really lost the plot with Kostas & Dmitri. What happened to the dog that was killed? Help!”

The Tourist airs Sundays on BBC One at 9pm and all episodes are available on BBC iPlayer.
