Tristan Thompson was accused of ignoring his eldest son Prince, 6, after he was showered with praise for his parenting skills on a recent episode of Hulu reality show The Kardashians.
The NBA player who recently signed a one-year contract was criticized by his ex’s sister, Jordan Craig, for his “appalling and inexcusable” behavior.
On Thursday, Kai Craig shared a long Instagram post He accused Thompson of “ignoring” Prince and seemingly showing more support for his other children and young family members of his recent ex-girlfriend Khloé Kardashian than for his first-born child. Thompson and Kardashian share a 5-year-old daughter, True, and a son, Tatum, 1.
Kai Craig criticized Kim Kardashian for seeming “insensitive” as the Skims co-founder was filmed bragging about Thompson’s presence in the lives of True and Tatum, as well as the lives of her own four children, who she has with her ex-husband Ye, the former rapper, shares known as Kanye West.
“It was so hard not to speak out, and out of respect for my sister’s privacy I haven’t done so in over seven years, but this is just too much,” she wrote in the statement. “It’s so painful to see how Tristan finds the time to do these beautiful things for others but can’t seem to show up and be a real parent to my nephew Prince.”
She continued: “The fact that he can take other children to school and activities in the same city but never sees or speaks to his own son unless it is for a party or a planned photo op is appalling and inexcusable.”
Kai Craig then turned her attention to Kim Kardashian, saying that Thompson “literally ignores his kids.”
“It’s nice if he was a good friend to you, but let’s think of our sisters before we take to global platforms to defend this man’s character,” she said.
She then alleged that Thompson had long since stopped paying the previous maintenance amount previously reported and that he had also allegedly stopped paying Prince’s school fees.
“He hasn’t even asked where Prince goes to school now,” she said, then noted that her sister has “multiple jobs.”
Kai Craig then added: “[Tristan] You are NOT a good father if you cannot be a good father to ALL of your children.”
A representative for Thompson did not immediately return a request for comment.

On last week’s episode of “The Kardashians,” Kim Kardashian was filmed praising Thompson in a confessional interview, calling him a “good person and friend” despite cheating on her sister Khloé Kardashian multiple times over the years.
The older Kardashian added that Thompson “stepped up” and even helped her with her children by attending her son’s games and inviting him to dinner.
Thompson and Khloé Kardashian’s on-and-off relationship has made headlines over the years due to the basketball player’s numerous cheating scandals.
Their relationship appeared to end after Thompson admitted in January 2022 that he had fathered a child with model Maralee Nichols while he was still dating Khloé Kardashian – and they were expecting their son through surrogacy.
The athlete and Nichols’ child, a boy named Theo, was born in December 2021.
Thompson and Khloé Kardashian made their relationship public in fall 2016 while Jordan Craig was pregnant with Prince. In October 2016, Khloé Kardashian posted a photo on Instagram her hand over Thompson’s hand with a heart emoji in the post’s caption.

At the beginning of the year, rumors surfaced again that the couple had reconciled. But Khloé Kardashian posted on Instagram in May to put an end to rumors that she had rekindled her romance with the athlete.
