Tristan Thompson shared a cryptic post on Instagram on Wednesday advising people not to feel guilty about their past.
The basketball star, 31, was drawn into the drama following his failed relationship with Khloe Kardashian, 37, after he was spotted having another child while dating the TV star reality.
The message posted on his Insta Stories tells his 3.6 million followers not to “live in the past or the future”.
In the middle of the current drama, he shared: “Let the past guide you rather than make you feel guilty.
“Let the future excite you rather than make you feel anxious. Let the present be a gift to you to feel alive rather than a curse to make you live in the past or the future.”
While it’s unknown by whom, Tristan included the first two talking emojis in the post.
It comes after news broke in December that he had fathered Maralee Nichols’ child even though he had previously denied cheating on Khloe with the Texas coach.
He wrote on Instagram at the time: “Today paternity test results revealed that I have fathered a child with Maralee Nichols.
“I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established, I look forward to raising our son amicably. I sincerely apologize to everyone who I have been hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both publicly and privately.”
Tristan shares three-year-old daughter True with Khloe and continued: “Khloé, you don’t deserve this. You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation you’ve caused you.”
“You don’t deserve the way I’ve treated you all these years. My actions are certainly not the same as how I perceive you. I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless. What do you think. Again, I am deeply sorry.”
Recently, Maralee asked the sports star to pay £35,000/month for their young child.
He was previously said to have refused to pay expenses to help raise child support funds for his third child.
Maralee filed paperwork in a Los Angeles court in early March, saying the Chicago Bulls player had “earnings of $9.7 million (£7.4 million) alone”.
It resulted in her claiming a “guided monthly child support amount of $47,424” according to the publication.
Maralee claims that her newborn “and I are living a much lower standard of living than Tristan”.
