Trump arrives in New York to investigate his business practices

Former US President Donald Trump arrived at the New York Attorney General’s office in Lower Manhattan on Wednesday, where he is scheduled to testify as part of a civil investigation into his family’s business practices.

New York Attorney General Letitia James is investigating whether the Trump Organization inflated property values.

Late Tuesday, Trump said in a post on his app Truth Social that he would see the New York Attorney General on Wednesday.

A source also told Reuters that Trump is scheduled to testify in the inquest on Wednesday.

Trump’s children have already been questioned, the source said.

Separately, the FBI searched Trump’s Florida home Monday, an escalation of the federal investigation into whether he illegally removed records from the White House when he left office in January 2021.

Trump has publicly flirted with the question of running for president again in 2024, but has not made it clear if he will.

The search warrant for Trump’s Florida estate references the National Archives and Records Administration, which is tasked with keeping public records of the president, and whether it disclosed classified documents at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida a person familiar with the matter.
