Former President Donald Trump, speaking in North Carolina, noted his crowd’s “crazy” reaction to something he claimed they once had no idea.
The former president paused as the crowd’s cheers increased, eventually erupting in a standing ovation.
“It’s amazing how much people feel about it. “Look, I’m talking about tax cuts, that’s what people do,” Trump said while mimicking a golf clap.
“When I talk about transgender people, everyone goes crazy. Who would have thought? Five years ago you didn’t know what the hell it was.”
Twitter users claimed the clip showed Trump summing up “the madness of his movement” while poking fun at the crowd’s reaction to his remarks.
