Charlotte Dawson has revealed she suffered a miscarriage after discovering she was pregnant with her second child on Mother’s Day.
In an emotional post on Instagram, the reality TV star, 29, admitted that she and fiancé Matthew Sarsfield – who share son Noah – were “over the moon” when they first learned their family was growing.
Dawson said she was “indescribably heartbroken” after the loss but still hopes that one day they will have their “rainbow baby.”
In the Instagram post, the TV star shared a photo of her son Noah holding a pregnancy test and a video of them showing the test to the camera to break the baby news.
She wrote: “Hi loves, I finally feel ready to post this. I mean I don’t know when there is a good time to post this.
“It’s been an extremely tough week mentally, but obviously also physically… I’m heartbroken beyond words…
“And I know I’m never quiet around here and I’m always so open and honest with you guys so it came as a shock to you all.. I keep getting a lot of messages worrying about all of us and asking why I’m the way I am Rest & if Noah is okay..
“Noah is absolutely fine… he’s amazing. I’m the one who’s not feeling well. Unfortunately I suffered a miscarriage.
“Obviously our families and close friends knew about my pregnancy but didn’t announce anything until I was further down the line. I was so excited to share our good news with you all.

“Noah’s little brother or little sister, as you can imagine, Matthew and I were absolutely thrilled that our little family was going to grow.
“I also found out on Mother’s Day, which was just so special. But sometimes it just wasn’t meant to be, I really thought it was, but this time it just wasn’t.
“Miscarriages are so common and not talked about enough. We are so heartbroken at the moment, have no words and just don’t feel ready to post that I’m my happy, dumb self now.
Dawson also asked people not to send her and Sarsfield “bad messages” about their parenting skills, assuring that Noah was “so loved.”
She added: “Thank you for all your love and support, I never want to let go of Noah. I feel so lucky to have Noah, one day we will have our rainbow baby.”
Friends and famous faces have offered their support for the TV star, including former Love Island star Dani Dyer, who wrote: “Oh honey I’m so sorry to send you all my love xxxxxx.”
Hollyoaks actress Chelsee Healey said: “I love you,” while presenter and TV personality Kate Lawler added: “I’m so sorry for you both Charlotte. Sending you so much love and strength. xxx”
Dawson is the daughter of hit comedian Les Dawson, who died in 1993 at the age of 62.
