‘Twilight Zone’ actor Nehemiah Persoff dies aged 102 as Barbra pays tribute to Streisand

American actor and painter Nehemiah Persoff has died at a rehabilitation facility in San Luis Obispo, California, at the age of 102

US actor Nehemiah Persoff has sadly died at the age of 102 while paying tribute to Barbra Streisand.

Persoff, who appeared in The Twilight Zone and Some Like It Hot, among others, died Tuesday (April 5) at a rehabilitation facility in San Luis Obispo, California.

His death was confirmed to US magazine Variety by his daughter Dahlia.

Persoff racked up nearly 200 credits in film and television in a career that began in the very early days of television.

He played the role of Streisand’s father Rebbe Mendel in the legendary 1983 musical film Yentl.

Streisand, 79, honored the actor by posting a photo of them from the film on her Instagram account along with a touching caption.

“Nicky has lived a long loving life. I will miss you Dad!!” The actress wrote alongside a still of them in the film.
