Two men arrested by Gardaí investigating the murder of Mahamud Ilyas, 22, have been released without charge.
The men, one in his 50s and the second in his late teens, were both arrested Tuesday as part of those investigations.
A file is currently being prepared for the public prosecutor’s office.
Mr Ilyas’ body was discovered on Saturday in farmland in Co Meath, wrapped in a rug.
The victim lived in the West Dublin area with his family, who are originally from Somalia.
The investigation is being led by Ashbourne Gardaí, who were brought to the attention of the murder on Saturday afternoon after a dog walker discovered Mr Ilyas’ body, who then alerted a local farmer.
After an autopsy on Sunday, his body was formally identified and his loved ones informed of his tragic death.
The Gardaí investigation continues to request information.
They are particularly appealing to anyone who saw or spoke to Mahamud between Friday, December 9th after 10am and Saturday afternoon, December 10th.
Anyone with information on Mahamud’s movements is asked to contact the investigative team.
Gardaí also continue to urge everyone who traveled along Belgree Lane, Kilbride on Friday 9th December or Saturday 10th December to come forward.
Drivers with dash cam footage of this location are asked to make it available to Gardaí.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Blanchardstown Garda Station Incident Room on 01 6667000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
