Police continue to search Roadford Lake in Devon for two missing people, while a third remains in hospital in critical condition after a boat overturned yesterday

Two people remain missing and one person is fighting for his life after a boat capsized in a lake yesterday.
A major search operation is underway after a group of adults were thrown into Roadford Lake in Devon.
Police said efforts are continuing to find two missing people, while one person has been discharged from Derriford Hospital and another is in critical condition.
Two other people were rescued and treated at the scene by paramedics on Wednesday.
The Devon group were thrown into the reservoir after their boat capsized around midday.
Coast Guard, fire, ambulance and air ambulance crews were at the scene with the support of the Coast Guard helicopter.

Devon and Cornwall Police said in a statement: “Police remain in Lewdown, Okehampton, following an incident at Roadford Lake yesterday [Wednesday 8 June] where a boat capsized in the water.
“Police-led searches resumed today, Thursday 9 June, and efforts to locate two missing persons are continuing.
“Two people were pulled from the water yesterday and taken to Derriford Hospital for treatment. One person has since been discharged and one person is in critical condition in hospital.”

The force added: “We are supporting the families of everyone involved.
“The lake will remain closed to public access for the foreseeable future and local road closures will remain in place at the activity center to allow access for the appropriate emergency services.”
The 730-acre (1.9 sq mi) lake has been a reservoir since 1989 and supplies water to Plymouth and other parts of south Devon, according to Visit Dartmoor.
It is often used by people kayaking, canoeing, paddling, and sailing.
