Two pedestrians and cyclists seriously injured after three separate collisions in Dublin

TWO pedestrians and a cyclist are being treated for serious injuries following three separate road crashes in Dublin.

In the first crash, a man, 31, was taken to hospital after being hit by a car on Blessington Road in Tall last night.

Gardai and Dublin Fire Brigade were on the scene shortly after 11pm and the man was taken to nearby Tallaght hospital.

His injuries were described as non-life threatening while the driver of the vehicle was uninjured.

In a second separate collision around 1:30 a.m. this morning, a man, 40, was hit by a car on Drimnagh Road.

He came in a hurry Beaumont Hospital with serious injuries and remains in serious condition.

The driver of the car was not injured.

The road remains closed this morning due to technical checks taking place with local traffic separation.

Meanwhile, a cyclist in his 70s was hospitalized following a traffic collision on Stillorgan Road in Donnybrook yesterday morning.

The man was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital before being transferred to Beaumont Hospital and is being treated for his serious injuries.

Gardai is currently appealing in all cases for the witness or the driver with the dash cam footage to come first and contact them.

Meanwhile, the police are continuing to appeal about an accident in Co Offaly that caused leaving an elderly man dead.

The man, 80, died after a two-car collision on board the N52 train in Arden near Tullamore around 1:30 p.m. Friday.
