Two people taken to the hospital after an accident near Steyning
Two people were taken to hospital with “serious injuries” after a three-car collision.
The accident happened around 5.45pm last night on the A283 at Steyning between Canons Way and Clays Hill.
The road was closed in both directions during the rescue operation.
A van, Skoda and Ford were involved in the accident.
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: “Police were called to the A283 in Steyning at around 5.50pm on Friday 5 August following reports of a three car collision.
“Two people were taken to hospital with suspected serious injuries.
“The road was temporarily closed to allow emergency services to respond to the collision and arrange for the vehicles to be recovered.”
West Sussex Fire and Ambulance Services were also present.
