TWO people were arrested in possession of an assault weapon after a Range Rover window was smashed.

Police were called at 3.21am on Saturday 9 July to two men acting suspiciously at Manor Hill, Brighton.

Brighton and Hove Police officers arrived at the scene to find the window of a Range Rover had been smashed and items inside had been stolen.

“Ten minutes later we had two people in custody on suspicion of theft from a vehicle, property damage, vehicle interference and possession of an assault weapon,” said a police spokesman.

“It is important that you report any crime or concern to us, no matter how insignificant it may seem.

“Trust your instincts – in an emergency, call online, 101 or 999.”
