For those looking to delve into Ubisoft’s library of RPGs and open-world games, Sony’s platform opens up another avenue. Ubisoft announced today that it will bring its subscription service, Ubisoft+, to PlayStation Plus, with 27 titles available to users on day one.
The service, already available on Amazon’s PC, Stadia and Luna, allows PlayStation players to access Ubisoft’s library of titles with a subscription to the service. However, Ubisoft also announced that some of their older titles will be available in a Ubisoft+ Classics version reserved for the Extra and Premium tiers of PS Plus.
“Ubisoft also announced that starting May 24th, it will launch a new Ubisoft+ subscription for PlayStation Plus called Ubisoft+ Classics. Ubisoft+ Classics on PlayStation is a curated selection of popular games including best-selling Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, The Division and For Honor. As well as popular classic games like Child of Light, Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon, Watch Dogs, Werewolves Within and more. The Ubisoft+ Classics catalog for PlayStation Plus will start with 27 titles and grow to 50 by the end of 2022[.]”
The subscription gives PlayStation (and Xbox, as Ubisoft also previously confirmed it’s coming there too) the ability to try Ubisoft releases on release day, as well as access DLC, premium editions and more. Some of the titles launched with the service include Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Watchdogs Legion, South Park: The Broken But Whole, Far Cry 4 and more.
