UK charts: Nintendo Switch Sports is number one for the third week
It’s a very similar story in this week’s UK charts. The top two spots remain unchanged for the third straight week – Nintendo Switch Sports and LEGO Star Wars: The universal appeal of The Skywalker Saga means they’re this week’s top two selling boxed games.
Third and fourth are too exactly Same as last week, as Sony’s exclusive Horizon Forbidden West and chart-favorite Mario Kart 8 Deluxe keep their spots firmly in place. Pokémon Legends: Arceus and Animal Crossing: New Horizons are both comfortably in the top ten this week, and FIFA 22 – after slipping two weeks in a row – Just sneaks in again.
There’s only one new game this week: PlayStation and Xbox’s multiplayer survival horror Evil Dead: The Game. Based on the film franchise of the same name, the game debuts at a solid fifth place this week.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land slipped quite a bit out of the top ten this week. Unfortunately, the pink puffball has dropped 20 spots from fifth to 25th place, and while the game is almost two months old now, we can’t help but be a little disappointed.
