Russian troops are now heading west after attacking a military base near the Polish border, as tens of thousands of people fled Ukraine.
Local military officials said Russia fired eight missiles at the International Center for Peace and Security in Yavoriv, less than 25 kilometers (15 miles) from the Polish border.
To the east, Putin’s men are trying to encircle Mykovail before stepping up their efforts to the west.
More than 13,000 people escaped through humanitarian corridors yesterday, which reopened today, March 12, to allow people to safely leave the country.

However, the Kremlin said it was responding to Western concerns about the humanitarian situation in Ukraine.
