And to mark the explosion of the new streaming service, Hollywood glitz is coming to Birmingham tomorrow – with an epic drone show featuring 600 drones.
The geniuses behind the Queen’s Jubilee drone show, who wowed millions with a light show above Buckingham Palace featuring a giant corgi, are perform their magic again.
With more than 400 drones used during the jubilant show, the nine-minute spectacle will bring out the glitz of Hollywood, Los Angeles, 5,000 miles more than the West Midlands name suggests.
The drone will fly 600ft in the air over Hollywood Golf Club, in Bromsgrove, at 10:30pm on Tuesday, June 21 – recreating iconic characters and scenes from Star Trek, Spongebob Squarepants and Mission: Impossible.
Co-founder and director of SKYMAGIC, the company behind the Queen’s Jubilee drone show, Mungo Denison, said: “This show took months to perfect, due to the attention to detail. necessary to faithfully represent the various characters we are portraying.
“It’s a jumble through popular characters and iconic Paramount images. It’s an extraordinary line of programming.
“This is the biggest drone show the UK has ever seen, and a better place to showcase this than Hollywood. We will light the night there”.
The drone show will also feature a QR code, which viewers will be able to scan and get a free seven-day trial of the streaming service.
Paramount+, which will be available in the UK and Ireland from June 22, will include exclusive originals, Paramount Pictures blockbusters and a wide selection of the studio’s most iconic shows – including HALO, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, The First Lady, and kids favorites Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years and PAW Patrol: The Movie.
