Unexpected WhatsApp update changes the way your group chats work forever

WHATSAPP is testing a new feature that could change your group chats forever.

It’s a polling tool that allows you to ask your friends, family or colleagues.

The new WhatsApp feature is already available on other social apps like Twitter and Telegram.

But the WhatsApp bosses at Meta (formerly Facebook) appear to be building their own version.

This feature was discovered by executives at WABetaInfowho regularly taps WhatsApp for upcoming changes.

Details about this feature have appeared in the new WhatsApp version v2.22.6.70 for iPhone.

A beta is an experimental version of WhatsApp used by people who want to try out the latest features – before the general release.

WhatsApp hasn’t actually released the poll feature on beta yet.

But this feature appears to be under development.

“We are pleased to announce today that WhatsApp is finally developing a feature that allows creating polls right within your WhatsApp groups,” said WABetaInfo.

The blog shared a screenshot of WhatsApp with the option to enter a poll question.

Others can vote on an answer, but all are in the group.

Only people in the group can see the results.

It can be a way for friends to make decisions about a restaurant.

Or maybe a WhatsApp company could poll its employees about the state of food in the office cafeteria.

You can even poll your family about rescuing a dog from an animal shelter — and whether it’s right for you.

Or ask for a review of your new outfit. Assert yourself, you may not get the poll results you want.

The bad news is that it’s impossible to say when – or even if – the feature will roll out to the wider public.

WhatsApp often tests new features, and many of them take months before launching.

And it’s also possible that WhatsApp could decide that it absolutely hates the idea and scrap it before it goes public.

In any case, find out how to join the WhatsApp beta below.

How to download WhatsApp beta

To download WhatsApp beta for your smartphone, you need to go to Google Play on your Android and search for WhatsApp.
