Universal will open a second Super Nintendo World with Mario-themed games next year

Super Nintendo World at Universal will open in the US next year, including a brand new ride, merchandise, and more tributes to Mario, Princess Peach, Luigi, and more

Universal prepares to release Monday Nintendo amusement park land next year, where guests can take part in fun rides, interact with the land, and meet characters like Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach.

Super Nintendo World will open at Universal Hollywood Studios in Los Angeles next year, and will feature “a groundbreaking ride and interactive zones”.

While Universal hasn’t confirmed the exact details of the ride, we expect it to be similar to Mario Kart in real life existed at Super Nintendo World in Japan.

As well as games and games, the new land will include themed shops, dining and of course, loads of merchandise.

Last year saw the opening of much-anticipated land at Universal Studios Japan, where guests could wander around the Mushroom Kingdom, explore Bowser’s Castle, join Mario Kart or go for a walk with Yoshi.

Theme park goers can also purchase special Power Up Straps that allow you to interact with the land, win coins, and discover the many hidden surprises in the park, so you really feel the same way. I feel like I’m immersed in a Super Mario game. (You can preview Guide to Super Nintendo World also).

However, it is the real-life Mario Kart ride that is the biggest highlight. Racers sit in life-size Mario Karts and race along, with high-tech effects that mean you can throw shells and knock your opponents down to claim the trophy. Each kart holds up to four riders, and you can take in some of your favorite tracks that you can also play in a real video game.

While thrill seekers will need to wait until next year for the US version to open, the good news is that there are plenty new amusement park rides and attractions for 2022 to get excited – both in the US and the UK.

For example, Universal Orlando had a new Jurassic World ride that opened late last year, which was one of the The best new addition of the amusement park, complete with 360-degree reverse, 80-degree drop and steep incline, and launch the rider 155 m. Then of course there’s Universal Studios Hollywood in California, which will be the home of the Super Nintendo World. However, there’s a lot more to the amusement park including The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, a Fast and Furious ride, appearances from characters including the Simpsons, and even Scary ride in Jurassic World.
