Former Hollyoaks star James Redmond recently landed a role in The Outlaws and the 50-year-old seems unrecognizable from his days in the film.
The actor, who played Rory ‘Finn’ Finnigan on the Channel 4 show from 1997 to 2002, will appear in series two of the comedy thriller later this year.
In an Instagram post he posed with director Stephen Merchant, Bristolian wore a beard and gray hair – a stark contrast to his time on the set of Chester.
Alongside the photo, he wrote: “Season 2 of ‘THE OUTLAWS’ launches next month on BBC1 and BBC iPlayer in the UK and on Prime Video internationally, later this year.
“Great script, excellent cast and lush location. Over the moon was cast in one episode. Fairplay [sic] to the multi-talented Stephen Merchant and congratulations to all who participated. “
Fans and friends of the celebrities were also quick to congratulate the star, with actress and former Casualty co-star Sunetra Sarker replying: “Made for you James!! Great show. “
Another former co-star, Paul Danan, added: “Jim, that’s Incredible, I’m so proud of you.”
DJ Martin Bundsen said: “Too good! Hope you’re a great friend!”
The first series of The Outlaws based on Bristol aired last October and received critical acclaim. It focuses on a group of juvenile delinquents from different backgrounds (including Stephen as failed lawyer Greg Dillard) who are thrown together in a community redemption scheme.
Stephen previously said: “More than anything I’ve done before, it was a real team effort of trying to appeal to all of that.
“I definitely think I’m mindful of everything that we put in place in the program and what our agenda is and how it might be perceived.

“I think things have changed and my own perspective has also changed over time. I’ve been doing this for 20 years.”
Also featuring Christopher Walken as Frank Sheldon, Nina Wadia as Shanthi Rekowski and Ian McElhinney as John Halloran Snr, the second series hits theaters in June.
