A 14-year-old girl has disappeared after she was last seen looking “very distraught” getting into a car outside The Woodman pub in Dudley, West Midlands, prompting an urgent search

A teenage girl has disappeared after looking “very distraught” when picked up by a car outside a West Midlands pub, prompting an urgent appeal to police for information.

The 14-year-old girl was described as very upset by people who saw her before boarding a gray SUV on Saltwells Road in Dudley around 7pm on Wednesday night.

She was last seen getting into the car outside The Woodman pub and now police are trying to identify the vehicle and its owner.

West Midlands Police said: “We are urgently requesting information to locate a young girl who was seen outside The Woodman pub in Dudley last night (June 23).

“Witnesses have described the girl as very distressed before getting into a gray SUV car on Saltwells Road around 7pm.

“Investigations continue to locate the car, its registered owner and the driver.”

Police have said they hope someone will recognize the 14-year-old in the released CCTV images – she was spotted in ripped blue jeans and a long-sleeved white top.

“We urgently need to make sure she’s okay. We hope that someone will recognize the girl in this CCTV image and get in touch with her,” a police officer said Expression.

“She is described as around 14 years old with dark brown hair and was last seen in ripped blue jeans and a long-sleeved white top.
