Urgent warning to Irish parents as two children’s toys sold on Amazon and Shein have been recalled
Irish parents warned to keep two toys away from children after recall
One of the toys was sold on popular retail website Shein and the other was sold by Amazon.

The 1pc Bear Design Pet plush toy sold on Shein was recalled. The toy’s brand and barcode number are unknown and the model type/number is B220914026510-1.
The product has been sold online and there are approximately 12 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.
The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission said the product was being recalled due to choking hazards.
The CCPC said: “The risk associated with the product is choking.
“The toy is described as a pet plush but is attractive to children. It contains small parts (eyes and metal chain) that can easily detach.
“As a result, a small child may put them in the mouth and choke.”
Anyone who purchased the plush toy should stop using it immediately and request a refund.
The CCPC warned: “If you have purchased any of these products, please stop using them immediately, dispose of the product immediately and keep out of the reach of children.

“SHEIN will refund your purchase price. If you would like to contact SHEIN with any concerns or questions about this product, you can do so through your user account on the platform.”
The second toy recalled is the myHodo Magnetic Balls sold in Ireland through the Amazon platform.
The brand of the toy is myHodo, the model name/number is Magnetic Balls Colorful 5mm. The barcode is unknown and the Amazon item number is unknown.
RISK OF INJURY
This product also poses a risk of injury to children.
The CCPC warned: “The risk associated with the product is injury.
“If a child swallows two or more magnets with a magnetic flux above the allowable limit, the magnets can attract each other and cause internal obstruction and/or perforation.”
Parents who bought this product should stop using it immediately and keep it away from children.
The CCPC said: “If you have purchased any of these products, please stop using them immediately, dispose of the product immediately and keep out of the reach of children.
“You may wish to contact Amazon to see if they have any remedial action available. This can be done through your user account on the platform.”
