Utah widow who wrote book on grief threw party after allegedly murdering spouse

She was charged Monday with one count of first-degree first-degree murder and three counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute it. Meanwhile, investigators have uncovered previous assassination attempts on Eric Richins.
“During the investigation into the death, I was told by Eric’s family members that they suspect his wife was involved in his death,” Deputy Jayme Woody wrote in a affidavit. “They told him that if anything happened to him, he warned them that it was her fault.”

Years ago, the document indicated that Eric Richins was “seriously ill” while on holiday in Greece after his wife made him something to drink. He reportedly called his sister and said he believed Kouri Richins tried to kill him.

A family spokesman and attorney recently indicated that Eric Richin also has suspicions about his wife’s alleged infidelity.

Investigators have since confiscated Kouri Richins’ phone and retrieved messages to a person identified as “CL” in February 2022 about the purchase of “some Michael Jackson stuff.”
Kouri Richins then wrote a children’s book about grief called Are You With Me?, which was removed from Amazon and Google Books on Wednesday and previously billed itself as a “heartwarming and soothing book that gently guides children through the difficult experience of losing a loved one.” leads”.
