While Valentine’s Day trips are covered by ATOL, meaning your money will be protected if the company goes bust, this does not include any changes to the travel rules.

Love Holidays is no longer an ABTA member, having quit last year.

This means holidays are unlikely to be covered if rules change due to Covid, such as new quarantine rules or if destinations are redlisted.

Britons should buy travel insurance to protect against the Covid changes, as well as pay by credit card for extra protection if travel cannot continue.

Credit card payments between £100 and £30,000 are covered under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act.
