Vanessa Feltz ‘disappointed and shocked’ after breaking up with her partner of 16 years
Broadcaster Vanessa Feltz has confirmed her relationship with partner Ben Ofoedu has ended after 16 years together.
Eltz, 60, said “once trust in a relationship is lost you can’t really get it back” amid claims he had an affair.
In a video posted on Instagram, she said: “I haven’t used Instagram for three weeks and that’s because my relationship with Ben ended after 16 years and I really don’t know what to tell you. on Instagram.
“And so I just wanted to say that obviously I feel incredibly sad and I’m pretty disappointed and shocked and all that terrible but also filled with determination.
“I won’t let this defeat me.”
Feltz said she is happy to “live longer” than her mother, who died aged 57, as she was due to turn 61 in March.
She added: “I am so very grateful to be alive and I want to continue that feeling and I want to celebrate and find joy and laughter wherever I can.
“I know it won’t be easy, but I’m absolutely determined to do it.”
Feltz also thanked those who sent her “wonderful messages” during the breakup.

Celebrities have taken to social media to share their grief, including This Morning host Holly Willoughby, broadcaster Zoe Ball and former Hear’Say singer Myleene Klass.
Former Countdown star Carol Vorderman wrote: “He is a…. and you survived much worse V… you ARE a survivor and I can’t wait to hang out with you… as you know.”
And broadcaster Elizabeth Day wrote: “I love you so much. You are a queen and deserve someone worthy of your shining light.

Feltz first met the Phats & Small Ofoedu singer, best known for her hit Turn Around, in 2005 after her divorce from Michael Kurer five years earlier.
