Loose Men: Vernon Kay previews show when he returns to present in 2021

Vernon Kay and Mike Tindall are among the stars set to showcase the all-male takeover of Loose Women to mark Mental Health Awareness Week.

The TV presenter and former rugby player will join Johannes Radebe, serious team expert on serious dancer and radio DJ Roman Kemp.

Vernon will host a special edition of its ITV morning show, called Loose Men, to mark Mental Health Awareness Week.

The jury will discuss the importance of men speaking up for their mental health in a fourth all-male panel that will feature on the show.

The Loose Women handed over the panel to an all-male lineup for the first time in 2020.

Last year’s season of Loose Men was hosted by Richard Madeley along with panel dancer Jordan Banjo, TV judge Robert Rinder and singer-actor Martin Kemp.

Vernon said of his return to Loose Men next week that he’s “really excited” to be back for another ITV panel show special.

He added: “Men’s mental health is very important to me. I learned things from the council members last time that I didn’t know before.

“The reactions we all had last time were also amazing and highlighted the real need to discuss more about the topics we wanted to bring to the audience.”

The star Johannes said seriously: “I think Loose Men is a great concept. I’m glad we have a platform to sit as men and talk about issues affecting our lives and livelihoods.

“I have not worked with these gentlemen before, but I know their great work and I am delighted to finally meet them.

“We will continue to raise awareness about mental health because it is still harmful to our society.”

Loose Women’s editor, Sally Shelford, said: “It has never been more important to encourage men to talk openly and honestly about their mental health and we are proud that the Men Worthy group of men are. Our amazement never shies away from the big problems.”

She said to expect “some very honest discussions, heated debates and of course, lots of laughs along the way”.

The show supports the Loose Women’s Stand By Your Men campaign and runs on Thursday, May 12 at 12:30 p.m. on ITV and ITV Hub.

Loose Women airs at 12:30 a.m. weekdays on ITV
