Vernon Kay would love to wish Brooklyn Beckham as well as he host ITV’s This Morning on Monday.
The father of two Vernon will present the daytime show all week along with Josie Gibson hence the Easter holiday.
Of course, the duo are keen to discuss the latest headlines – and the Brooklyn star’s wedding tops the list.
Brooklyn said “I like” to US actress Nicola Peltz on Saturday at her family’s sprawling estate in Palm Beach, Miami, and the event is believed to cost around £3 million.
Speaking of the celebrity event, which will appear exclusively in VOGUE magazine, Vernon said: “It makes you realize how fast time flies, because I remember when Brooklyn was born.
“I remember Victoria putting him in the T4 studio as a kid and now we’re looking and seeing pictures of him getting married and being like, ‘Where did it go? Where has the time gone?’ It goes so fast!”
Vernon presented Channel 4’s T4 from 2000 until 2005, and of course Brooklyn was born in March 1999.
Victoria started her solo music career in 2000 after the Spice Girls decided to go her separate ways, so she often appears on T4 to promote her solo tunes.
Later, during their discussion of Brooklyn’s big day, Vernon was keen to share his support for the happy couple and said, “Good luck to you both, best Brooklyn and Nicola, well done and Congratulations.”
His words came as photos from the wedding started appearing on social media overnight.
VOGUE magazine is said to have the right, but allowed Brooklyn, Nicola and the Beckham family to share some of the official snaps on their Instagram page.
This Morning airs at 10 a.m. weekdays on ITV and ITV Hub.
