Brown Thomas introduced his SS23 international design collection yesterday, with a 96-person fashion show that highlighted a season of contrasts.

Pointing to the new trends we could find in our wardrobes in the coming months, Shelly Corkery, fashion purchasing director at Brown Thomas, said: “This is a very diverse season. The femininity is huge, there are clothes that are more streamlined, longer, cut, transparent, and asymmetrical hemline.”
Ms Corkery said we’ve gone through a period of easy, comfortable dressing, but added: “This season, more sophisticated fashion is sure to return – items that elevate daywear.

The neo-minimalist trend evokes effortless tailoring and a subdued color palette, while the subdued utility trend envelops the popular wardrobe favorites of the past, namely wide-leg trousers.
Elements of the three main SS23 trends – column dresses, shades of sunset and Greek goddess pleated silhouettes – can be found in one dress: a dramatic hooded maxi dress by Alex Perry.
