One man has been arrested and charged, another is in hospital after a “vicious” fight broke out at an airport.

Airport Police intervened after the Dublin Airport brawl began.

The fight continued in front of shocked travelers, with two men engaged in an argument and another joining before paramedics treated the injured.

An eyewitness said a man was “pumping blood on the ground.”

The Irish Mirror One man was reportedly taken to Beaumont Hospital while another, in his 20s, was arrested.

Two men were seen exchanging punches at the airport while other passengers looked on in horror.

A third man joins in and deals a series of punches, knocking one of the men to the ground.

Screams are heard towards the end of the video as the fallen man is kicked in the head until he is unconscious.

Some people then drag him away from the others.

The horrific incident lasted at least two minutes and ten seconds.

Three flights leaving the airport were delayed, but it’s unclear if this is related to the riot.

A spokesman for Dublin Airport Authority said: “We can confirm that an incident took place at Dublin Airport tonight involving An Garda Siochana.

“As this incident is the subject of a police investigation, we are unable to comment further at this time.”

A Gardaí spokesman said: “Gardaí, with the support of DAA Airport Police, responded to a public order incident at Dublin Airport tonight, 24 May 2022.

“One man has since been taken to Beaumont Hospital where he is being treated. A man (aged 20) has been arrested and is currently being held at Swords Garda station.”

The spokesman added: “Investigations [are] constantly.”
