Freedom Games and TRAGsoft recently announced their monster taming game Coromon coming to Nintendo Switch on March 31.
Like Pokémon, you’ll go on an adventure as a young trainer, catching ‘mon, a battle trainer, and even stopping an evil organization. There will also be online PVP and a built-in Nuzlocke option. Before the game was released, a new battle trailer was uploaded – detailing some good points about the strategic turn-based combat on offer.
Here are some additional PRs and release date trailers:
Embark on an adventure with a team from over 120 different Coromon. Fight through a classic RPG campaign and stop a shady organization from ravaging the world!
Make sure the Coromon squad is proficient in all three skill types: Physical, Special, and Status. Offensive variety makes all the difference in intense coach matches.
Each Coromon skill depletes a limited supply of stamina. Strategize for each turn and decide on the right move, be it an attack, replenish stamina by resting, or heal with a clutch item.
Physical skills that use Coromon’s Attack stat can be combined with other traits to gain an advantage. Break through your opponent’s physical defenses with Special skills to deal even more damage. Based on a
Coromon’s Special Attack stat, these skills have the ability to create powerful combos with status effects.
Use Status skills to swing the hand of fate in favor of your team with passive changes to your current Coromon or the enemy in front of them. Examples of these skills include temporary stat boosts, debuffing enemies, weather summoning, among other game-changing effects.
Put your team’s skills to the test against the Coromon Titans in multi-phase boss battles. Combine all the intensity and strategy your team can, as Titans will shift stages causing different hazards in the field, call-backs, and other unexpected complications.
Master skills through Coromon’s campaign and go head-to-head in online PvP. Destroy other coaches in casual or competitive ranked matches. See what meta strategies the community is aiming for and find out personal fighting styles to break the mold.
