The upcoming monster catching and fighting game coromon is arriving on Nintendo Switch later this month, and in the run-up to it Trainers are learning more and more.

The latest video shows the five different difficulty levels and customization options – including the built-in Nuzlocke mode. It is also mentioned that the Switch version will have cross-save functionality with the Steam version of the game. Below is the full video explanation:

And here’s the PR and release date trailer:

Choose what type of creature-catching adventure you want to embark on from four preset difficulty modes: Easy, Normal, Hard, and Insane, the latter being the aforementioned “Nuzlocke” mode.

Running in the monster taming RPG genre, Nuzlocke gives the trainers a strict set of rules to follow throughout their journey. Only one Coromon can be caught per area, no escaping combat, no teleporting items, and once a Coromon faints in combat… it doesn’t wake up.

Additionally, a fifth difficulty option provides a large number of challenge access options for a customized experience, including item price and availability optimizations, Coromon catch limits per area, healing limits, and more. With all these options available, everyone can hike the beautiful Velua region at their own pace.

Trust the gods of the Coromon titans and unlock a built-in random number generator. Each wild Coromon, enemy trainer’s team, Coromon abilities and evolution paths, collectibles and so many other aspects can be completely rearranged for an endlessly repeatable odyssey.

Take finely tuned skills honed via these difficulty options to the next level in online multiplayer matches against other trainers. Prove yourself as the ultimate Coromon trainer and show your mastery at finding rare perfect Coromon forms and optimizing their stat pools. After claiming your right to fame in the community, make sure you can access your team anywhere, anytime with cross-save functionality between Nintendo Switch and Steam versions.
