Subscription services have grown in popularity in recent years, and on the gaming front, Microsoft’s Game Pass service leads the way.
It’s become an incredibly huge success for the company – with new games being added weekly and big titles appearing on day one of the service. It’s gotten to a point where it’s impossible for rivals like Sony to ignore them. In fact, a revamped PS Plus subscription service is set to be announced next week.
But what about Nintendo? Well, that’s where Alex and Felix come in to discuss how Nintendo could perhaps learn a little from Microsoft’s success with Game Pass to improve its own online offerings. Of course, for now, Switch fans have access to the NSO service and the Expansion Pack tier, which unlocks even more retro goodness, along with DLC for modern releases.
