Viewers of THE Responder were taken by surprise just minutes into the third episode after spotting an “avoidable” mistake.
The five-part crime drama continues to follow Chris Carson, a morally compromised cop who tackles a series of night shifts in Liverpool.
Despite launching last week to widespread critical acclaim, the show has come under scrutiny for a number of reasons.
Just last week, Martin Freeman – who plays the lead – was knocked down by The Apprentice’s Lord Alan Sugar after claiming he was couldn’t understand his Liverpudlian accent.
And now the show has been restarted after eagle-eyed viewers noticed a “fake footage” in the show’s third episode.
The third season begins when Chris wakes up from another difficult night shift and is racking his brains over whether he should return the missing drug store to the police.
However, viewers soon had to scratch their heads after discovering the time on his alarm clock changed from 12 o’clock to 24 o’clock.
On Twitter, one fan wrote: “A fake photo, the alarm clock by the bed reads 3:20 and the next clip, seconds later, reads 15:10.
“Why does it go back ten minutes and turn itself into a 24-hour clock?”
Echoing their comments, another said: “Why did Chris decide to change his clock from 12 o’clock to 24 o’clock in the third episode? Probably, just a failed continuum. “
Respondents continue on Wednesday at 9pm on BBC One.
